I've been working hard on a new Skyrim picture, it's half done and you can check out the progress so far on my FB page:

I might have to leave it for a little while, I've been trying hard to focus on my drawing skills as much as I can. Lately I've been struggling a little bit, sure you might see the work I've done and think it's okay but it takes me waaaaay too long to come up with it. I used to be able to get a character pose drawn up in a matter of minutes but now it's taking up to an hour or two to get it right.. So it's quite a painful process sometimes.. It's only been like these recently because I had spent so much time on the digital work that my penciling has been neglected.

I've enrolled in an Advanced Drawing class that goes for 6 weeks, I'm really looking forward to it because I've never actually been taught how to draw. It'll be nice to have some guidance and maybe learn some new tricks. I want to see if I can focus on anatomy and poses, and hopefully speed up my drawing skills to be better. If all goes right then I'll finally be able to unleash my skills with complete freedom, no more being stuck on a pic and losing motivation until it falls through..

Personally I think he'll work well as 47 for the new Hitman 2 movie, at first I was a bit hesitant but after curing my curiosity with a bit of Photoshop work I have realised it might actually work pretty well. I am a massive Hitman fan and I have been looking forward to another Hitman movie, let's hope this one works out even better than the last.

What are your thoughts on Paul Walker as 47?

I'm looking forward to having Herb as an ongoing thing, we plan of using him for cosplays on the latest movies or games that we talk about through Geek Hunger, and I hope to build him up as a bit of an icon for the page. The whole concept for Herb is well.. there's nothing hungrier than a zombie right? So I think he'll work perfect for Geek Hunger, I recommend giving the page a like if you'd like to keep up to date with all the movie/game news and trailers through Facebook. Feed the need!!!

In other news I've been trying to work on a new picture for Skyrim, I'm looking forward to the new DLCs finally coming out on PS3. Plus I never really did end up doing a big picture on Skyrim, just single character ones really.. So since it's one of my favorite games I will give it what it deserves, a nice big epic pic filled with action and mayhem

By the way, I'm playing Far Cry 3 at the moment, I'm surprised how good that game is! Just amazing, so you can expect a picture on it at some point

I've been working hard on a GTA V pic, it's very big and I've been on it for the past two weeks. But it's not far away, I should have it posted by sometime next week
I've got the three main protagonists of the game all in the same scene, very action packed

In other news, I've been loving Hitman Absolution! Such a good game, I'd do some fan art on it but I'm sure I've covered that already haha!
Summer has just started where I am so I'm feeling pretty good about everything, I want to start piling sketches into a new sketchbook again, I have the need After spending weeks on digital work I'm really hanging out to do some random sketches..

I have a lot of things planned, I really want to do a piece for The Last of Us and i'm thinking of one for Dishonored (which i'm playing now).. At the moment I'm drawing up Kratos for God of War: Ascension. But it's hard to free up time for all this, because I have a few jobs I am working on, website designs and such.. But I'll get there

It's been a while, things have been a little quiet on DA for me lately. So I apologize for that. It's been a crazy month for me, a lot of personal stuff has happened which has kind of put things on hold for a while.

My father passed away a few weeks ago, it hit me pretty hard because we were really close. His name was Bob Brown, also a great artist and a singer, he was in a rock band back in his day. Anyway I've had some time to adjust to it, trying to get back into the swing of things now

The good news is.. I'm getting married! Me and my beautiful girlfriend Allira went on a holiday just a week ago (had it planned for months) we went to Thailand, also went on the Phi Phi Island tour where I seized the chance and got down on one knee, popped the question, showed her the ring I've been hiding for months, and she said yes! So now we're engaged!

So it's all happening now, I'm very excited about it all. I also just bought a whole new office setup, recently I got the new Cintiq Touch so I had to get a bigger/better desk so I had room for everything. I'll be very happy doing new artwork now, all I need is a good drafting table and I'm set I have a few new projects lined up, so expect to see more soon!

So it's been nearly 70,000 pageviews since my last journal haha, so I thought I better update you all on what's happening.

First off I want to thank everyone for all the great support, I'm sorry if I haven't got back to you on messages and notes, most of the time I haven't got enough time to reply to everything. I can probably clear a few things up for a few of you though.. I'm not really accepting commissions right now, I've been trying to focus on some big jobs I've been doing. Also I get a lot of people wanting to know what tablet I use, it's an Intuos4 Wacom.. I do plan on getting a Cintiq Touch soon though

I'm still working hard on the Uncharted 3 picture, man it's a big task! But I'm loving every minute Also I'm trying to do at least one sketch a day which I will post up on my Facebook fan page: www.facebook.com/PatrickBrownArt   I've been stuck on too much digital work for weeks and I don't want to go rusty in the drawing area haha, it happens..

Also after seeing how cool Artgerm's new Livestream stuff has been, I think I want to do it too. I want to set up a live video of me working while you can all have a chat at the same time I'm going to look into it.

Okay so I'm starting to really get into this whole new CREW setup, so me and one of my old GTA IV veterans have started a new crew in Max Payne 3 called RAMPAGE. I love this because our crew will also follow onto GTA V when it comes out
