Thirst for Vengeance by PatrickBrown Thirst for Vengeance by PatrickBrown
This is the main character of my new comic. I can't say much right now, but what I can say is this is basically him transforming into something 'DARK AND POWERFULL'..

My main character is usually just a normal guy.. Short hair, skinny as hell, and is basically a real loser because of his childhood..

But when everything goes tragically wrong for him, something from deep within him bursts out and this is what he changes into.. LONG HAIR, ENHANCED MUSCLES, and A MYSTERIOUS TATTOO THAT GIVES HIM UNBELIEVABLE STRENGTH AND POWER :D

I would have to say I enjoyed doing this MORE than any other artwork I've done..

- Done in around 15 hours
- Photoshop CS2
- Wacom graphics tablet

I'd love to know what you think? ;)

what i think?...OUCH! very original. kind of infamous, but much more hard core. I see mayhem in the horizon! Awesome sick man!

I love this! I'd only say to make the energy coming from his hand darker and more mistlike to emphasize the "DARK and powerful aspect of it" :)

This looks great! How did you create the background and the small water effects on the ground?

With a lot of time.. I spent ages doing this background. But now I look back on it, it seems to straight, like there's no perspective! I'm glad I can see that now, means I've learned from my mistakes ;)

Ah, but I think it looks great! Two other things: do you ink by hand or is this 100% digitally inked? Also, what are you using to make the color selections, the lasso or pen tool? You have a really great technique!

i'm stunned! this is one of this pieces on deviantart, when i see it, i wish i will reach this level of professionalism on day! Perfect Lineart, awesome colors (only the background houses looking IMO a lil bit too "clean" and "cgi-like" ;) )

This will become an onlinecomic or will there be a printversion available too?

if the comic looked as awesome as this, i'd pay good money to get a copy if presented with the chance!

Looks great! Hints at an interesting plot, and definitely hooks you, & makes me want to read the comic! :)

Also, very interesting to read how long a piece like this takes you - and was curious whether you start with a paper sketch first, which you then scan in - or the whole thing's done on the tablet?
