I had fun with this one, after playing the game I couldn't pass a chance to do a piece on it And what a great game it is! I strongly recommend getting it.
The Legend of Kratos! This guy is a B.A.D.A.S.S. After taking so long on my previous piece (the comic) it's good to finally get back to my usual artworks.. You'll be seeing more like this I think!
I was going to add more enemy's in the background, closing in, but I thought it'd look better keeping it simple and focusing on Kratos..
Your vision on this piece is spot on, one can easily get a feeling of the God of War 3 universe without even playing the game. You did an amazing job on portraying that feeling into a still image.
Originality wise I can't really say much since this was originated from other minds, the GOW world, but obviously one can also spot your stamp all over this piece, your style is pretty obvious and I for one would like to play a GOW3 with your stamp on it, art wise.
Technique is your biggest asset on this piece, your lines and shading work is two thumbs up! I also like the way you pick and mix your colors, background wise. I think you did a very good job on not filling the background with more characters mainly because that would take away a lot the focus from Kratos.
Impact wise, I think you did very well with the contrast between a cool looking kratos and an havoc surroundings, it makes this piece an even better work of art. The pose of the character is spot on making him look more bad a.s.s. in a cool kind of way.
With the newer picture that you made. Were you shooting for making it look like the same guy? Obviously they're both of the same character, but were you shooting to make it like a James Bond. Different actors that have similar to no physical similarities have played the same character for Bond. I'm not saying they look too different from the other, but there look like you've modified some of the facial features a bit in the newer piece is all I'm saying.

Very well done.
