Brink comic by PatrickBrown Brink comic by PatrickBrown
Bethesda Softworks (creators of Fallout 3) got in touch me with me about a year ago, they wanted to hire me for a 32-page comic book they were planning on having with their upcoming game Brink. So I jumped at the chance and they had me do up a sample page, I had to try and fit their unique style of characters..

This is what I came up with but unfortunately after it was sent of to the big guys, it wasn't exactly the style they were looking for. I was just so happy to even be a part of it at least, even if I only got this far. So thanks Bethesda, they were even kind enough to send me copies of the game a few weeks ago after it's release.

But anyway I thought I'd share this with you all, since it didn't go ahead I'm sure it's ok to post now ;) Enjoy!

Late to the party, but the pics look good. I'm not sure what people are talking about in terms of style. Too bad they didn't accept it. Honestly, for a lot of people Brink turned out to be a mixed bag. Like a mix of Enemy Territory and Team Fortress but not as good as either one. This comic would be the one positive thing people would associate the game with.

I'm surprised they turned down your style, it's just how I'd imagine a Brink comic.

It's really cool to see a comic artist play around with dynamic panels, squares and rectangles get pretty boring after awhile. You also have very nice page flow. It's very easy to read and understand. The action is very clear and dynamic. Great job.

Hello my name is Thomas Bailey; I am a media and television production student. Currently I am looking for an artist to collaborate with for my comic while I cannot pay you anything for your work an am willing to contract a deal regarding the royalties. I have already written the script for the first issue and I am open to any art style. I am open and would appreciate any creative suggestion regarding the plot or the characters thus giving you the opportunity to share creative control.
If you are interested please contact me at . I will send you a copy of the script for you approval along with some documents detailing my plans for the book and the basic designs I have in mind for the characters.
Thank for you time and I look forward to hearing your response.
